We visited the Imperial War Museum in Lambeth for inspiration. Due to my own strong views against any kind of glorification of war, I discussed with my tutor the possibility of concentrating on the other aspects of war, those of memory, scarring, denial, covering up, layering of experiences. As a result, I found myself drawn to the Holocaust exhibition within the museum and in particular to concentration camp uniforms, identification cards and badges.
